UK Professional Body Honours South African CEO

Brian Bruce, the group chief executive of South African based construction and engineering group Murray and Roberts, has been awarded the Chartered Institute of Building's (CIOB) Presidents Medal for services to the international construction industry.
Roger Flanagan CIOB President said at the ceremony in London, "Brian has made a huge contribution to construction in the developing world. He is passionate about the challenges that face the developing world and the CIOB salutes him and his work. It is a privilege to award him the CIOB's Presidents Medal."
The President's medal is presented each year for outstanding contribution to the construction industry by an individual. With 42,000 employees Murray and Roberts operates in Africa, Middle East, South East Asia, Australasia and North America. One of their most internationally celebrated projects is the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai - the first seven star hotel in the world.
