I am aware that there may be concerns about the standards which the CIOB uses for assessing candidates for membership. In a process that commenced in 2010, the Board of Trustees, following advice of the Education, Qualifications, Standards and Practice Board and following consultation and acceptance by the Members Forum has determined that to protect standards it is necessary to make changes to the professional review.
On the 26th and 27th of May 2010 CIOB Africa (Charted Institute of Building - Africa) in partnership with the cidb (Construction Industry Development Board) held the 2010 Construction Summit at Gallagher Estate, Midrand.
Members of the Institute are involved in the organisation and delivery of a major international construction research conference to be held in Cape Town from 14th to 18th May 2007.
